White Hinterland Speaks French, Tours Europe

Crosses Borders with EU Ease

By , About.com Guide

Tod Seelie

Casey Dienel's latest White Hinterland work is an EP featuring five songs sung entirely in French. Luniculaire —the follow-up to her great debut WH LP, Phylactery Factory— finds Dienel covering tracks made famous by French icons Françoise Hardy, Serge Gainsbourg, and Brigitte Fontaine. And, in summoning that polylingual spirit, Dienel will be taking her new disc out onto the road on her first-ever tour through the EU, which rolls through all of October '08.
