Bonnaroo Announces 2013 Lineup

By February 20, 2013

Follow me on:

Sir Paul McCartney will be one of the headliners at the 2013 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. With a slightly more eclectic top-of-the-bill than many summer festivals, Bonnaroo will also feature Wu-Tang Clan, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Mumford & Sons, and a "Soul SuperJam" which finds My Morning Jacket's Jim James collaborating with John Oates, Zigaboo Modeliste, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band, on something that sounds secretly terrifying.

Elsewhere, the fest —which takes place, this year, from June 13-16, in Manchester, Tennessee— is a little less wacky. There's all manner of amazing bands, and plenty of familiar faces from prior 2013 Summer Music Festival announcements.

People like... Björk, The xx, Jim James (in non-jam mode), Swans, Wilco, The National, Dirty Projectors, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Grizzly Bear, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Animal Collective, Beach House, Cat Power, Tame Impala, Passion Pit, Django Django, Alt-J, Foals, Local Natives, Divine Fits, Japandroids, Jeff the Brotherhood, Matt & Kim, The Vaccines, Holy Ghost!, Four Tet, Purity Ring, Cults, Haim, Diiv, Wild Nothing, Matthew E. White, Father John Misty, The Tallest Man on Earth, Patrick Watson, Calexico, Lord Huron, Sea Wolf, Deap Vally, and scores more.

The full lineup —all manner of functional information and promotional guff— can be found on the Bonnaroo website...
