My Bloody Valentine Actually Release Their New Album

By February 4, 2013

Follow me on:

Good lord. It's happened. After 22 years, My Bloody Valentine have released the follow-up to their legendary Loveless LP. The third My Bloody Valentine album actually exists. And it's out.

The record is called MBV, and it's, in many ways, classic-sounding MBV. There's no way in the world it can live up to two decades of gathering expectations, but, today, the fact that it has actually been released is more than enough.

The band first made the album available on the My Bloody Valentine website on Saturday. Inundated with traffic, the website verily collapsed under the weight of stampeding shoegaze fans, but now that thing is humming, and the record's waiting you.

I'll type up a proper review soon; once I get the chance to listen closely, and to sit and think. But, for now, enjoy the tracklist. Oh, and if you haven't, at the least, heard album opener "She Found Now," click to hear the stream; it sounds exactly like My Bloody Valentine circa, like, 1990.

MBV Track List:
1. "she found now"
2. "only tomorrow"
3. "who sees you"
4. "is this and yes"
5. "if i am"
6. "new you"
7. "in another way"
8. "nothing is"
9. "wonder 2"
