Fat Possum have earned a recent rep as buzz-band chasers, and the label's signing of Olympia rockers Milk Music is a pretty sure sign that crunchy, noisy, Our Band Could Be Your Life-esque alt-rock is back in a big way.

"I've Got a Wild Feeling" feels steeped in those towering Twin Cities twin acts of the '80s: The Replacements and Hüsker Dü, with mild hints of the ear-bleeding country of Dinosaur Jr and cowpunk of the Meat Puppets. Its guitars are equal parts scorched and anthemic, and Alex Coxen lets loose with a hoarse, hearty vocal filled with cigarettes and soulfulness.

For those who're into old-fashioned, genuinely-rockin' indie-rock, Milk Music will indeed be inspired wild feelings. Also: Cruise Your Illusion = genuinely hilarious album title.
