Julia Holter Covers Fleetwood Mac, Unveils New Video, Releases Expanded Ekstasis

By January 10, 2013

Follow me on:

Julia Holter's Ekstasis LP was one of the best albums of 2012. And now it's been released in an expanded edition, with a bonus five-song set called Live From Beaudry. This comes with Holter, off her breakout year, signing to indie powerhouse Domino.

Holter has just unveiled another video for a song from Ekstasis, with a new "Goddess Eyes II" video unveiled. True to Holter's recently thematic brief, it's, too, inspired by Greek myth and tragedy; a take on the dramatic device of the deus ex machina.

Holter also recently unveiled an awesome cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Gold Dust Woman" that you should listen to, like, right now if you haven't. She's also set to undertake her maiden Australian tour, and perform at the Ecstatic Music Festival in collaboration with Laurel Halo and Daniel Wohl.
