In 2013, legendary slowcore harmonist Low will celebrate their 20th anniversary. And they'll celebrate it by releasing their 10th album.
The Invisible Way will be released by Sub Pop on March 19. The LP was produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, in the Wilco studio The Loft. It features drummer Mimi Parker singing lead on five songs (a new personal best!), "piano, lots of piano," and "songs about intimacy, the drug war, the class war, plain old war war, archaeology, and love." There's also an Invisible Way album trailer which reveals a little more.
The Invisible Way will be preceded by a free live EP called Plays Nice Places. It features, amongst its six songs, Benjamin Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie singing with the band on a cover of their classic "Words." You can download it from Sub Pop for the cost of your email address.
