The always-immense Primavera Sound has announced the full lineup for its 2012 festival. And, as always, it's mind-alteringly long and a work of impressive curatorial taste.

This year's bill finds appearances from —but not limited to— the following alt entities: The Afghan Whigs, Archers of Loaf, Atlas Sound, Beach House, Beirut, Björk, Black Lips, Bleached, Christina Rosenvinge, Codeine, The Cure, Death Cab for Cutie, Demdike Stare, Dirty Beaches, Dirty Three, Dominant Legs, The Drums, Father John Misty, Franz Ferdinand, Girls, Girls Names, Grimes, Hype Williams, I Break Horses, Iceage, James Ferraro, Japandroids, Jeff Mangum, Jeremy Jay, Joshua T. Pearson, Kings of Convenience, Kleenex Girl Wonder, Laura Marling, Lee Ranaldo, Lower Dens, Main, Mazzy Star, Melvins, Michael Gira, Milagres, Mudhoney, Neon Indian, The Olivia Tremor Control, Peter Wolf Crier, The Pop Group, The Rapture, Richard Hawley, Rufus Wainwright, Saint Etienne, Sandro Perri, Sharon Van Etten, Shellac, Spiritualized, Tall Firs, Thee Oh Sees, Veronic Falls, the War On Drugs, Washed Out, Wavves, The Wedding Present, The XX, and Yo La Tengo.

Primavera takes over Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum from May 30 to June 3, this year. And, as always, stands as one of the landmark indie festivals of the year.
