Sleigh Bells' Reign of Terror Arrives February 14

By December 14, 2011

Follow me on:

Noisy, nasty, blown-out bubblegum-pop duo Sleigh Bells have announced the forthcoming release of their second record. Reign of Terror will arrive on February 14 —Valentine's Day, no less— next year on Mom + Pop.

The set is the follow-up to 2010's Treats, which made the duo breakout stars in 2010, and lead them to working with MIA. The album's title —an an opening salvo boasting of "True Shred Guitar"— suggest that Derek Miller's emo past may be coming out in more aggressive, distorted sounds; and Alexis Krauss was, a year ago, already talking about pushing things further on this LP.

Sleigh Bells will celebrate the dawning of their Reign of Terror with the most thorough tour of Florida ever undertaken. The band will jaunt around their home-state in a co-headlining jamboree with their fellow Floridian, Diplo. More non-Florida tour dates are, one would assume, sure to follow...

Reign of Terror Track List:
1. "True Shred Guitar"
2. "Born to Lose"
3. "Crush"
4. "End of the Line"
5. "Leader of the Pack"
6. "Comeback Kid"
7. "Demons"
8. "Road to Hell"
9. "You Lost Me"
10. "Never Say Die"
11. "D.O.A."
