Phoenix Assemble Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (Remix Collection)

Earlier this year, French indie-pop maestros Phoenix issued their sometimes-fabulous fourth album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Home to two of the year's best pop-songs (of any description), "Lisztomania" and "1901," it soon became a favorite of remixers; from the officially-endorsed to the scandalously underground.

Now, Phoenix are assembling an official remix record for Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, with contributing re-jiggers including Animal Collective, Devendra Banhart, YACHT, Friendly Fires, Passion Pit, and Chairlift.

Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (Remix Collection) is available, digitally, from today. Coincidentally enough, today also marks the day that Phoenix kick off a thorough European tour, for which support will come from Chairlift.
