Tour Date Mania: Chain and the Gang is All Over the Map

Scott, Louisiana; Danbury, Connecticut; Eureka, California; Huntsville, Alabama: they're not your usual stops on the touring circuit. But, then again, there's not much 'usual' about Ian Svenonius, the former frontman of the Nation of Ulysses and the Make-Up, the author of the impossibly good essay collection The Psychic Soviet, and the host of the awkward internet chat-show Soft Focus.

Back in January, I hipped you to Chain and the Gang, the brand new project for Svenonius. With his debut CATG LP, Down with Liberty... Up with Chains!, looming on the horizon, the little entertainer is heading out on the road again, where every stop he'll make a new friend. All 46 dates with are with either K Records founder (and former Beat Happening member) Calvin Johnson, solo, or Johnson's new project The Hivedwellers.
